Ministries at our church
The mission of the United Methodist Church is “to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.” We do so “by proclaiming the good news of God’s grace and exemplifying Jesus’ command to love God and neighbor, thus seeking the fulfillment of God’s reign and realm in the world.” (2016 BOD ¶ ¶ 120-121)
Through our ministry, Church to Child, we partner with Creed Collins Elementary School and Ritchie County Middle School by providing them with essential items such as clothing, shoes, school supplies, and food.
Our church participates in a variety of activities throughout the year. Among these events are the Blessing of the Animals, hosting the Community Blood Drive at the Pennsboro Fire Department, Pastor Appreciation, Good Friday Service, Easter Egg Hunt, Easter Sunrise Service, Christmas Eve Candlelight Service, Community Thanksgiving Dinner, church picnics, and Christmas Caroling.
